Lidgefrid NNGNN are full-on, raw, blackened thrash at its finest. The four tracks of this EP blast away at a furious pace, broken up with the odd slower old-school riff. It may not be the most original concept or delivery, but NNGNN have their own voice and sound, and know how to write memorable, if rough, thrash songs. In a time when so many bands focus of being super-slow, heavier-than-thou, or needlessly experimental, it's refreshing to hear a band take such a raw approach to metal. Top-class stuff. Favorite track: Flagellate the Heretic.

lbfortytwo This reminds me of those 80s days when I first discovered what would later become black metal. Back then it was just great, filthy, thrashy metal! Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten
